1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using the No Shanks mobile application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
No Shanks is a golf trip planning platform that enables:
- Players to organise golf trips, track scores and handicaps, and post trip requests to the Marketplace.
- Operators (golf travel operators, clubs, caddies) to list packages, submit bids on trip requests, and communicate with players.
3. Marketplace Terms
3.1 Trip Requests
Players may post trip requests describing their desired golf trip. Requests are visible to all registered operators.
3.2 Bids
Operators may submit bids on open trip requests. By submitting a bid, the operator confirms the information provided is accurate and that they are authorised to offer the described services.
3.3 No Commission — v1.0
No Shanks charges no commission or transaction fee on bookings made through the Marketplace in v1.0. All payments between players and operators occur directly between the parties. No Shanks is not a party to any booking contract.
We reserve the right to introduce fees in future versions with reasonable advance notice.
3.4 Booking Contracts
Acceptance of a bid creates a direct contract between the player and the operator. No Shanks is not liable for the performance of either party.
3.5 No Fake Bids or Impersonation
You must not:
- Submit bids you do not intend to honour
- Impersonate a golf operator, club, or any other entity
- Create false trip requests to harvest operator information
- Use the Marketplace for any purpose other than genuine golf trip planning
Violations may result in immediate account suspension.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data from the App
5. Intellectual Property
All App content, design, and software are owned by No Shanks Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our express written permission.
You retain ownership of content you create (trip requests, bids, messages). By posting content, you grant No Shanks a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and transmit that content within the App.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of operator listings, package descriptions, or pricing. We are not responsible for the quality or delivery of any golf trip or service booked through the Marketplace.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, No Shanks Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App or any booking made through the Marketplace.
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which in v1.0, with no commission, is £0).
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time via Settings.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you via the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
