No Shanks ("we", "us", "our") is operated by No Shanks Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the No Shanks mobile application ("App").
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
- Name, email address, and password (via Supabase Auth)
- Profile details: display name, avatar, business name, bio, website URL
- Marketplace role (player, operator, club, caddie)
2.2 Trip & Marketplace Data
- Trip requests: destination, travel dates, group size, budget, notes
- Bids submitted by operators: pricing, itinerary, package details
- Bid messages: text and photo attachments exchanged between players and operators
- Trip packages created by operators
- Accepted booking details (player name and email visible to confirmed operators)
2.3 Location Data (GPS)
We collect precise location data when you:
- Use the Live Scorecard feature to track your round (foreground only)
- Manually add a course or pin a location
We do not collect location data in the background. Location access is requested only when you actively use location-dependent features. You may deny location permission; affected features will be unavailable but the rest of the App will function normally.
2.4 Usage & Analytics Data
- App interactions, screen views, feature usage (aggregated, non-identifiable)
- Crash reports and diagnostic information
2.5 Device Information
- Device type, operating system version, push notification token
- Timezone (for scheduling features)

5. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases hosted on AWS (eu-west-1 or nearest region).
- Data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+.
- Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensure users can only access their own data.
- Operator contact details for accepted bookings are disclosed only to the matched operator.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
- Active accounts: data retained for the duration of your account.
- Deleted accounts: personal data is purged within 30 days of account deletion. Anonymised aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely.
- Trip requests / bids: retained for 24 months after completion to support dispute resolution, then deleted.
- Bid media uploads: retained for 12 months after the bid closes, then deleted from storage.
To request account deletion, email [email protected] or use the in-app Delete Account option in Settings.
7. Children
The App is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us immediately.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you via the App or email when material changes are made. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
